Help! I can't decide.

I've been wanting to make Miss. Lilith a pettiskirt for over a year now. And I'm finally going to do it. I got a ruffler foot (just so I can make one of these) for my machine for Christmas and it's still sitting in it's box. The goal is to make it before our trip to Disneyland in October. The problem is, I can't decide on what color. Do I go the cute, cheap, easy way? Or the one that's a bit harder, costs more, but will get more comments? Sadly, I think I'm leaning towards the one that would get more comments. LOL More business for me, right?
What would you do? Here's some pics.
What it'll look like. The tutorial is from here.

The first choice will have the satin and layers in Lt. Pink and the fluff at the bottom will be in Candy. This would be the easiest because all of the Nylon Chiffon will come in pre-cut rolls. It would be a bit cheaper, too ($29).

The other choice will have the satin in Black, the layers in this, and the fluff in White. Think Minnie Mouse. This is also a bit more difficult because the red and white because it only comes by the yard and will have to be cut. It'll also be about $40.

So, what do you think? Comments please!

New things (Pics)

It's been a busy couple of weeks around here.

First, we found a house. We move in one May 15th, so we've been busy packing and trying to convince Lilith that this is a good thing. (She likes our current "house" and doesn't want to move to a new house.) We try to tell her all the good things about the new place: a yard to play in, getting her a swing set and a bigger pool, more room, other kids next door, closer to Grams, etc. We'll just have to see how she does next weekend. She'll be spending the day with Grams while we get things moved. More pictures after we get the keys and then after we move in.

And we also welcomed a new addition into our family...my first niece! Also know as "Baby Cousin." She was born via c-section Monday, April 26, 2010 at 1239pm. 7lbs 10oz and 20.5" long. Her name is Evelyn Elizabeth. She was a bit of a surprise. No one knew if Baby Cousin would be a boy or a girl. At least, no one, but Lilith. She said from day 1 that Baby Cousin would be a girl. Everyone, but us, thought it would be a boy. Especially with how stubburn and what a pain it was the whole time. LOL She is also the very first April baby on either side of our family.

This was Thursday. Lilith finally held her.Evelyn
